    Just thinking

The other day I was online checking in on some forums I hadn't been to in a while. I have found that some people seem to look down on ecclectic practioners. Which I understand in part. The nature of being eccelctic allows for freedom that some are just not responsible enough to handle, leading to insulting living traditions or avoiding the darker truths of life. On the other hand I also see where it is a natural evolution. America is often described as a melting pot of culture and ethnicity, so doesn't it follow that the more sharing of heritiage we have the more we would need a path that reflects that? One that is just as diverse as we are? Every culture has created deities to reflect themselves, why would it be any different now? With the world being more accessable via travel or internet,  it expands the melting pot to encompass ever more parts of the world.

Lately my head has been bursting with story ideas and tales that I wish to tell. I feel like I am half in and half out of reality caught in the realm of my own imagination. Floating between the two. I am striving for balence as always. Trying to keep my piscean self from using it to escape everyday life.

    LapTop Theif

    Friday, November 2, 2007, 03:47 PM [General]

Well a week before I left Georgia some punks broke into our home and stole both our laptops and our digi camera. I am heartbroken as the laptop allowed me to be on line anywhere in the house so I could still keep track of the toddler. But mostly because all the pics of the first six months we spent living under the same roof at long last, were on those two devices. I am so pissed off at the little brats that are so selfish and arrogant, they of course don't realize how important those things are to us, or what we have gone through to afford them. The same theifs have been at it again since, at least two more apartments were broke into. So I am hopeful that they will be caught and that our possessions can be recovered. Stupid kids.

Anyhow in other news. The pixie and I are in the cool air of Michigan again. We are staying at my parents (whose computer I am using to write this). I probably won't be on as often, but I will try to check in. Blessings to all.

    Tessa the Fearless

    Monday, October 15, 2007, 10:06 AM [General]

On Saturday we took our adorable 2 1/2 year old daughter to an Ocktoberfest fair on the Army post. It was the first time that I was able to put her on rides. She is a little dare devil so I knew she would enjoy it, she was fearless. I asked her what she wanted to go on first and she pointed to the highest fastest thing she could see. Luckily she was equally happy on the high slide, merry go round, swings and airplanes. She dragged me into the tents where local artisans were selling handmade bags. She spent twenty minutes purse shopping, settling on the Strawberry Shortcake one that matched her new light up shoes. Went and saw the lovely clown who made her a balloon bunny.  Then as the day wound down she got daddy to take her on the dragon rollercoaster she had been eyeing all day. My little pixie is Fearless.

Teach your children what we have taught our children, that the Earth is our mother. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons of the Earth. If men spit upon the ground, they spit upon themselves. This we know - the Earth does not belong to man - man belongs to the Earth. This we know.
